Three central Pennsylvania bookstores have announced that they will be supporting Caitlin’s Smiles’ mission through a Book & Toy Drive for Caitlin’s Smiles. The 2nd & Charles store in Harrisburg and Books-A-Million (BAM) stores in both York & Hanover are participating. The collection began on October 23rd. The stores will accept donations of books and toys purchased from their stores by customers until December 11th. The books, toys, and activities will be provided to children in hospitals through the Bag of Smiles program. This outreach benefits tens of thousands of children spending time in medical facilities every year.
The bookstores are encouraging customers to purchase books, activities, and toys for the children and teens served by our organization. A store staff member will collect the items from the customers. The stores then notify Caitlin’s Smiles when a load is ready to be pick-up.
