Give a Smile

What a difference a smile makes. For children plagued with serious illnesses, a reason to smile makes the pain and agony fade away…at least for a little while. For Caitlin, glitter and glue was a miracle cure and as she let her artistic juices flow, she found herself far away from the painful day-to-day fight for her life. Caitlin was four when doctors found a brain tumor. Over the next three years, Caitlin would receive many surgeries and treatments to try and help her small body fight the fight of her life. Sadly, at age seven, Caitlin lost her battle.
Through the pain and sacrifice, Caitlin smiled as she focused on creating her beautiful masterpieces for others. What she did know at the time was that she was sharing much more. Losing my daughter, Caitlin, was something I will never recover from, but I can and will continue to put smiles on the faces of kids as they fight their own battle. With your help we can keep smiles on the faces of children suffering from chronic or life threatening conditions in loving memory of our inspiration, Caitlin.

Tributes and Memorial Donations
Instead of your traditional gift, a donation made in honor of your loved ones can put a smile on the face of a child in a hospital. Caitlin's Smiles will send a letter to those you designate indicating that a donation has been made in their honor.

Organize a Special Event
Join caring companies who organize special fundraising events such as holiday trees, craft drives, bake sales, sporting events and also dress-down days. Each event helps promote a spirit of team building among employees while giving smiles to some very special children.

Donate Things to Caitlin's Smiles
A LCD TV, LCD projector, laptop, easels and white boards will help with instruction for craft nights and meetings. A supply cabinet would be helpful to store office supplies. Office supplies such as copy paper (of all colors), staplers, staples, note pads and postage stamps would be helpful as well as gift cards for office supply companies.

Kids Helping Kids
Kids Helping Kids is a program which enables students to help other kids who are battling chronic and life-threatening medical conditions. Students at preschool, elementary, middle and high school levels develop fundraising projects such as a pizza and a movie night, holiday trees, dress down days, carnivals, lunch bake sales, penny wars, dances and talent shows.
